Ashford University has recently become a Home Base Iowa business partner in Clinton.
The college has committed to helping the organization reach its mission in supporting local veterans in their rehabilitation into life and the workplace, according to a press release.
Many veterans make Iowa their home after coming back from war, and Ashford University and Home Base recognize the need to give them a helping hand.
"Ashford University is honored to be a business partner with Home Base Iowa," Charlie Minnick, Ashford University Clinton campus president, said in the release. "We are committed to supporting our military and veteran students, and feel privileged to be able to expand our support to veterans and service members looking for career opportunities. We look forward to working with Home Base Iowa to honor our commitment to hiring transitioning service members and veterans."
Jason Kemp, Home Base Iowa’s program manager, shares in Ashford’s excitement, the release said. They are looking forward to what the partnership will bring and are hope to make transitioning service members feel welcomed in Iowa.
